Sunday 5:00pm. A ridge of high pressure located across NS this afternoon is giving mainly sunny skies across the Maritimes but thunderstorms have developed just west of NB in central and northern Maine. These storms are tracking east and should NB in the upcoming hours. A couple of cold fronts are expected to cross the Maritimes over the next few days. The first one expected tomorrow evening with the second front on Wednesday. Showers and possible thundershowers will be possible with both fronts. High pressure will build in for Thursday and continue into early next week.
Precipitation.. A few showers possible tonight especially west Prince. Showers expected to develop again tomorrow afternoon extending into the overnight hours. Showers should develop again Tuesday night and continue all day Wednesday ending early Thursday morning. Rainfall on Wednesday maybe in the 10-15 mm range. Extended forecast is hinting at dry weather Thursday through the weekend.
Thunderstorms. Decaying thunderstorms may push into western parts of the Island tonight. Slight chance of storms on Monday afternoon then again on Wednesday.
Wind.. A southerly wind expected tomorrow shifting briefly to northerly early on Tuesday then back to the south later in the day. Southerly wins will shift back to the north on Wednesday evening then remain northerly through the weekend.
Temperatures. At or above normal temperatures are expected through Thursday becoming cooler on Friday.
