Relatively dry weather expected next few days..

Wednesday 7:30pm  A ridge of high pressure will cross the Maritimes tonight then move east tomorrow allowing a weak low pressure system to develop near Cape Cod tomorrow evening. This low is expected to stay south of NS Thursday night and Friday keeping the bulk of the shower activity over NS. Another frontal trough is expected to approach the region later Saturday into Sunday but models are not agreeing on the effects of this system on PEI so will have to wait for future models runs. High pressure returns for the beginning of next week with dry weather conditions expected through Wednesday.

Precipitation.  Chance of a shower late Thursday into Friday, then again on Sunday. At this time very little rainfall amounts are expected.

Thunderstorms.. No thundershowers are expected through the forecast period.

Wind.. Diminishing northerly winds tonight will become westerly tomorrow then southwesterly on Saturday morning . Winds shift to east/northeasterly on Saturday evening  which will continue through Wednesday.

Temperatures.. Seasonal temperatures expected tomorrow then a few degrees below normal through the rest of the forecast period.

Tonight.. Mainly clear, diminishing northerly winds, lows near 12

Thursday.. Sunny with increasing clouds during the afternoon, brisk west winds, highs 24.

Friday. Cloudy with chance of a shower especially eastern areas, light southwest winds becoming light and variable in the afternoon, clearing in the evening, highs 23.

Saturday..Sunny, becoming cloudy, light north winds, highs 22

Sunday.. Cloudy, brisk northeast winds, highs 22

Monday.. Sunny, light northeast winds, highs 21

Tuesday.. Sunny, light southwest winds, highs 23

Wednesday.. Cloudy  possible showers developing, light east winds 23.
