Monday 6:30pm A low pressure system near Sable Island continued to give cloud and showers across Cape Breton this afternoon. This low will continue to move eastward away from the area tonight meanwhile a ridge of high pressure across the Gulf of St Lawrence will sink south to be located east-west across NS by tomorrow evening. Another low pressure system is expected to develop off Cape Hattaras NC and move northward to be located near Cape Cod by tomorrow evening. The various computer models have all different scenarios for this developing low center hence confidence is low for Wednesday. A second low pressure system is forecast near Cape Cod on track towards the region on Friday, meanwhile a very slow moving cold front will be dropping down form Quebec then stall over the Maritimes for the weekend. A complicated week of weather ahead as numerous weather systems effecting the area and the computer models are having difficulty handling them.
Precipitation.. Showers expected to develop near dawn on Wednesday then again overnight Thursday into Friday. Showers expected again on Saturday.
Thunderstorms.. Chance of thunderstorms beginning on Thursday and lasting through the weekend.
Wind..Very light easterly winds tonight becoming southwesterly tomorrow. Southeasterly-southwesterly winds expected through until the weekend.
Temperatures.. Another warm day tomorrow but then cooler on Wednesday with highs in the low 20′s. Seasonal again on Thursday then cooler for Friday into the weekend.
