Daily blog entries were suspended for a few days while I was away on vacation into the New England states. Left my computer home and turned off cel phone while in the US which left me virtually in the dark from a weather point of view. Now back to reality…
Wednesday 9:20pm An upper trough of low pressure is crossing the region and setting off a few showers and thundershowers today. Severe thunderstorm watches were issued this afternoon for most of NB and a few areas of NS. This activity will weaken tonight but may redevelop again tomorrow especially across NB. A low pressure system near Cape Cod this evening will approach the region tomorrow evening and is expected to push rain into the Maritimes on Friday as the system passes along the east coast of NS. Weak high pressure crosses the region on Saturday followed by another trough of low pressure on Sunday. Will be watching for another potential east coast system on Monday.
Precipitation.. Few isolated showers ending this evening but may develop again tomorrow afternoon. More organized showers should develop Thursday night into Friday morning ending Friday evening. Few showers again on Sunday. Possible showers again later on Monday as the east coast system approaches.
Thunderstorms.. Can’t rule out a thundershower for tomorrow especially Prince county. Chance of thundershowers again on Friday.
Wind.. Light southeast winds becoming northeasterly on Friday morning as the low tracks along NS coast becoming northerly on Saturday. Winds should shift back to the south on Sunday.
Temperatures.. Another warm day tomorrow then a cool down on Friday followed by seasonal temperatures for the rest of the forecast period.

Thursday.. Few clouds with slight chance of showers/thundershowers becoming cloudy by evening with showers beginning overnight. Light southeast winds, highs 26.
Friday.. Showers (10-15 mms), brisk east winds, highs 19
Saturday. Mix of sun and cloud, light north winds, highs 21.
Sunday.. Cloudy with chance of showers, light south winds, highs 22
Monday/Tuesday.. Cloudy with showers..
