Sunday 8:40am A very slow eastward moving cold front is working its way across the Maritimes this morning and should be located across western Newfoundland by this afternoon. Isolated showers and a few thundershowers did fall across the Island during the overnight hours especially Prince county. Weak high pressure builds in for tomorrow then another weak cold front expected to cross the region on Tuesday. High pressure returns for Wednesday and Thursday with another cold front expected fro Friday.
Precipitation. The cold front really weakened overnight but there are still a few showers across the island and more should develop today. Slight chance again tomorrow. The rest of the week looks fairly dry with some showers moving in for Friday.
Thunderstorms. A few thundershowers yesterday evening tracked across Prince county with more thundershowers expected today across the entire province.
Wind… Light west this morning becoming northerly once the cold front passes this afternoon. Wiind direction will be variable for the next few days with such week weather systems effecting the area. Looks like a westerly wind will finally take over on Wednesday through Friday.
Temperatures.. Are expected to be near normal values during the forcast period.
Today.. Cloudy with a few showers/thundershowers. Generally less than 5 mms expected but could be higher in thundershowers. , winds becoming light northerly with highs near 21.

Tuesday.. Mix of sun and cloud, light northeast winds, highs 23
