Sunday 7:30pm A nearly stationary frontal boundary located northeast-southwest through NS is the focus for clouds and showers across PEI today. Can’t rule out a stray thundershower either. A weak low pressure will ride northeast along the front keeping the threat of showers/thundershowers into tomorrow afternoon. A second cold front will be tracking through the Maritimes late Tuesday into Wednesday with a risk of showers. A complicated weather pattern will be setting up Wednesday as a long wave trough establishes itself along the east coast. Will have a better handle on this in upcoming posts.
Precipitation.. Chance of showers right though until Monday afternoon, then again on Wednesday. Difficult to go beyond Wednesday to to the uncertainty of the weather systems on the long range.
Thundershowers.. Risk tonight into tomorrow afternoon. Severe weather charts are hinting a possible strong storms especially for eastern areas.
Wind.. Light northeast winds will shift to southwesterly on Tuesday afternoon then continue through Wednesday.
Temperatures.. Expected to be at or above normal through the forecast period.
