Former “Isaac” moves into the Maritimes on Wednesday/Thursday

Monday 7:00pm..  Well, I am having computer problems again. The laptop which I use has decided to once again crash along with all my website and data that I use to blog with. It will be going back into the shop tomorrow, in the mean time, back to my old dinosaur..

This will be an abbreviated blog as I don not have access to my normal websites..

High pressure off the east coast will provide the Maritimes with one more nice day tomorrow, meanwhile moisture form the Remnants of Isaac will be pushing into the region late Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. The rain will be slow to move out but should be pushed off to the east on Friday as a ridge of high pressure builds in. Another cold front is expected to cross the region on Saturday with more cloud and showers. Tropical storm/Hurricane Leslie will be moving north up the Atlantic and expected to pass by the Maritimes early Monday. Still too early to go into details but looks like that cold front on Saturday may grab the system and steer it off to the northeast. The picture should become clearer as the situation unfolds in the upcoming days.

Forecast..

Tonight.. Few clouds, light southwesterly winds, lows 14

Tuesday.. Sunny start with increasing clouds during the day, light southerly winds, highs 22

Wednesday.. Overcast with showers beginning in the morning, brisk south winds, highs 17

Thursday.. RAIN brisk southeast winds, highs 18

Friday. Clearing, light west winds, highs 21

Saturday.. Cloudy with showers, light southwest winds, highs 23

  1. Hello, I was wondering if it would bother you to tell me the sites you use for your informed forecasts i thoroughly enjoy! Id like to try to learn a little bit about forecasting as well just for my own personal pleasure. If you could, i would enjoy that as well as any other suggestions you may have for a passionate weather enthusiast!

    Thanks, Glenn Macinnis

  2. weather details good to know.

  3. From Accuweather’s Brett Anderson, he mentions if the trough is strong enough it may actually grab it and bring it into Nova Scotia. Im waiting for the lastest GFS (which always overdoes troughs this time of year) to see what it shows. Dave at Wxrisk, thinks the Euro model has a better handle and it brings it right into Atlantic Canada.

    Just my 2c

    I live in Brackley Beach
