Tuesday 6:00pm A ridge of high pressure over New England will approach the Maritimes tomorrow and cross the Island Wednesday night. A large area of low pressure will begin to advance towards the Maritimes late Thursday setting the stage for another unsettled weekend. A frontal system is expected to stall over the region on Sunday with moisture feeding north along this front into the Maritimes resulting in another potential heavy rain event. High pressure will push this system off to the east on Monday then another low pressure system will be approaching the region from the Great Lakes for mid week.
Precipitation.. Showers should begin late Thursday night/early Friday morning ending Friday evening with 5-10 mms expected. Few showers on Saturday then more rain on Sunday ending Monday morning with 15-25 mms possible. Showers again mid week.
Wind.. Light west winds tonight increasing to brisk northwest tomorrow. Light northeast winds on Thursday shifting to southerly on Friday. Southwest winds continue on Saturday shifting to northwesterly late in the day.
Temperatures.. At or slightly above normal expected through Saturday then a cool down expected for a few days beginning on Sunday.
