Wednesday 6:45pm…An area of high pressure will approach the region tonight and crest over the Maritimes tomorrow evening. Brisk northwest winds will diminish to light tonight as the high approaches then become southeasterly on Friday as the high pressure areas moves off to the east. A frontal system will approach the Maritimes from the Great Lakes on Saturday spreading rain across the region. Models are hinting at 15-20 mms rain across the area as the system will be tapping tropical moisture and will need watching for enhanced rainfall. Isolated thundershowers are also possible. Rain should end early on Sunday as the system pulls away and high pressure builds in. Monday looks dry right now then a cold front sweeping through on later Tuesday will set off a few showers.
Precipitation.. Rain should begin on Saturday morning ending Sunday morning with 15-20 mms possible. Showers again late Tuesday with the cold front then a few isolated showers on Wednesday as cool unstable air settles in over the region.

Wind.. Light northwest winds tonight and early tomorrow shifting to southerly Thursday evening. Light south winds continue on Friday increasing to brisk on Saturday. Southwest winds expected on Sunday becoming northwesterly on Monday through Thursday.
Temperatures.. Cool tonight with possible frost in low lying areas. Seasonal temperatures tomorrow becoming above normal Friday through Sunday with highs in the mid teens. Back to normal on Monday.
