Sunday 8:45am A frontal trough crossed the Maritimes during the overnight hours and is now east of the region, meanwhile a low pressure system will pass to the northwest of the region today. A large area of High pressure will build in for the northwest on Monday and dominate the weather through Friday. Cooler unstable air will result in cloudy periods with a chance of showers on Monday through Thursday. A deep low pressure system will approach the region from the Great Lakes on the weekend.
Precipitation.. Rain from the latest system has ended with 10.0 mms rain recorded in the Bonshaw area. Isolated showers are possible every day next week due to the unstable airmass. Flurries/ice pellets possible during the cooler evening/overnight hours.
Wind.. Light south winds this morning becoming southwesterly near noon then increasing to brisk westerly on Monday. Brisk northwest winds Tuesday through Thursday becoming southeasterly on Friday through Sunday.
Temperatures.. Above normal today and tonight cooling off to normal on Monday then below normal Tuesday through Wednesday returning to normal on Friday then well above normal for next weekend.
