Wet conditions expected across PEI next couple days..

Tuesday May 2nd, 7:45am..  A low pressure system located in central Quebec this morning is tracking NE into Labrador. A warm front extending eastward from this low  extends across Maine into southern NS.  The warm front will lift northward today then the associated cold front which extends southward from the low will then sweep across the Maritmes tomorrow ushering in some cooler more seasonal air. Conditions remain unstable in the cool NW winds on Thursday. High pressure passes south of the region on Friday then things looking rather interesting in the weekend as a low pressure system moves NE from the south through the Great Lakes then in to Labrador. This system will be loaded with tropical moisture so expecting a significant dumping of rain but details on where and how much are still sketchy.

Precipitation.. Periods of rain today tapering to showers tonight. Few showers tomorrow into early Thursday. Friday looks dry then rain possible on Saturday through Monday which could be heavy.

Temperatures.. Should warm up today then slightly cooler for tomorrow. Normal on Thursday. then mild again on Friday.

Wind.. Light-brisk southerlies today becoming SW tomorrow then NW on Thursday. Winds diminish to light/calm on Friday then shifting to SE Friday evening.

Thunderstorms.. Very slight chance of a rumble of thunder today and tomorrow.

Hazards.. Wet roads associated with the rainfall. Potential heavy rain event on the weekend.
