Saturday May 20th, 6:40am.. A cold front swept across the island late yesterday afternoon bringing an end to the recent bout of warm muggy weather. An area of high pressure centered just south of Hudson’s Bay will drift eastward crossing the Island Monday afternoon. Sunshine and rather cool NW winds will accompany this feature. Clouds will be on the increase on Monday as the next weather system approaches from the west. The various weather models are not in agreement as to the evolution of this next system but looks like rain spreads across the island Tuesday morning. The long range is looking quite unsettled with a number of weather systems effecting the region and again the models are offering different solutions. So the moral of this story is a cool but sunny weekend into Monday followed by cloudy unsettled weather beginning Tuesday.
