Monday May 29th 9:00am...A ridge of high pressure oriented N-S is currently over the Maritimes and will drift eastward today meanwhile a series of weather disturbances are expected to move through the Maritimes over the next 5-7 days or so as they rotate around a main area of low pressure located in Quebec/Ontario. The timing and intensity is still a bit unclear but unsettled weather is expected through the weekend.
Precipitation.. There is a chance of showers all week with the best chances being on Wednesday Thursday and Saturday. Today tomorrow and Friday are not looking too bad.
Temperatures.. At or slightly below normal temps expected due persistent cloud cover.
Wind..Very Light Easterly winds today and tomorrow increasing to light-brisk southerlies for Wednesday and Thursday then westerlies on Friday. Winds shift back to southerlies for the weekend.
Thunderstorms.. nil next couple days, Increasing risk by midweek.
Hazards.. Nothing too significant. If the skies clear tonight then temps could fall very close to the freezing mark with calm winds resulting in frost. It will all depend on if the skies clear. You may want to cover your veggie garden or potted flowers.
