Monday, May 21st 7:45am.. Sunshine expected today in the wake of yesterday’s frontal system which went through the Maritimes. Clouds should return later today as another weaker cold front sweeps across the island with the chance of an isolated shower. High pressure builds in for tomorrow with sunshine but clouds will once again return later in the day as a frontal system draped in an east-west line across the north begins to sag south. This front will slowly drop south through the day on Wednesday crossing the island early Wednesday afternoon. Winds will shift to the north in the wake of this front and temperatures will drop well below normal during the afternoon on Wednesday. High pressure returns for Thursday with cold sunshine and northerly winds. Friday and Saturday appear to be cloudy with showers with the passage of a couple of quick moving weather systems. Lots of disagreement amongst the weather models for the weekend and into early next week but looking wet at this point.
Precipitation.. Few showers possible late this afternoon/early evening with the weak cold front. Dry for tomorrow. Showers begin again Wednesday morning and progress slowly southward across the island during the day. Dry for Thursday then showers again for Friday and Saturday. Bit difficult at this time to go further as the models are not agreeing in fact there is lots of disagreement for Saturday.
Temperatures.. Slightly above normal today through early Wednesday. Much cooler air floods in Wednesday afternoon leading to below normal for Wednesday afternoon through Sunday.
Wind.. Light NW winds now will shift to the SW early this afternoon then back to the NW with the passage of that weak cold front near suppertime today. Light west winds for tomorrow becoming SW later in the day. Brisk SW winds Tuesday night into Wednesday morning shifting to the north in the wake of that cold front Wednesday afternoon. Light northerlies continue on Thursday becoming southerly on Friday.
Hazards.. Risk of patchy frost tonight especially towards dawn when winds drop off.

Tomorrow.. Sunny becoming cloudy late in the day, light SW winds early increasing to brisk later n the day, highs 18
Wednesday.. Cloudy with showers, brisk SW winds shifting to northerly near noon, highs will occur before noon at 15 then fall quickly with the wind shift dropping to 5 by suppertime. (Take a sweater to work)
