Tuesday, June 5th 6:30am.. A couple of low pressure systems on the may for Atlantic Canada this morning. The first is an ocean storm that developed odd Cape Hatteras yesterday morning. This system track NE and is now located south of NS. The second system is an area of low pressure near Ottawa this morning. This system will drift southward into NY state today then eastward moving odd the coast near Cape Cod tomorrow. The rain currently falling is associated with the 1st system and will come to an end tomorrow as the second system pulls away. A weak area of high pressure will the build in for later Wednesday through Thursday giving dryer conditions but sunshine may be limited. A cold front will be approaching late Thursday night crossing the region Friday morning. Cloud and rain will accompany this system. Weak high pressure appears to be in control for Saturday with some sunshine, then models differ significantly for Sunday and Monday with the placement of another frontal system.
Precipitation.. rain today ending tomorrow morning giving another 5-10 mms. Dry for later tomorrow through Thursday. Rain redevelops again before dawn Friday morning ending late day. The weekend is difficult as the various models continue to differ. Lets go with dry on Saturday then showers for Sunday and Monday.
Temperatures.. Quite cool today, a little warmer tomorrow but still below normal. Normal for Thursday and Friday then difficult for the weekend as mentioned above, the models differ on this weekend’s weather picture. Going to lean towards the American model and continue with normal for the weekend followed by a one day cool down for Monday.
Wind.. Rather light winds expected for the next few days. Easterly today, northerly tomorrow followed by southerly on Thursday. Brisk SW winds on Friday becoming westerly on Saturday.
Hazards.. Wet driving conditions today into tomorrow morning.
