Some sun expected later today across PEI.

Sunday, June 9th 6:15am… An upper level disturbance moved into the Maritimes late yesterday with cloud and showers/thundershowers. This feature will linger across the Gulf of St Lawrence over the next few days resulting in unsettled conditions through Tuesday. Now it won’t be a complete washout as there will still be plenty of sunshine but there will also be clouds and a risk of showers. A couple more low pressure systems move through (Thursday and Saturday) which will continue the saga of unsettled conditions into the weekend. Again not a washout but chance of rain.

Precipitation… We are in a bit of an unsettled period of weather ahead as numerous disturbances will be moving through. This will result in chance of showers almost everyday. Some days will have better chances than others. Not all day rain but rather showers.

Temperatures… At or above normal this period.

Wind… Light-brisk SW winds today through tomorrow diminishing to light and variable for Tuesday-Thursday. Light-brisk SW winds redevelop on Friday.

Hazards… Wet driving conditions in any rain.

Watches/Warnings… None for PE at this time.
