Sunny warm conditions expected next few days across PEI.

Monday, May 13th 6:30am… Cool calm conditions across PEI this morning under a stationary ridge of high pressure which is expected to give sunny warm conditions for the next few days. Clouds and increasing chances of showers later Wednesday associated with an approaching cold front from the west with frontal passage occurring overnight Wednesday night into early Thursday morning. A mix of sun and cloud for Friday as high pressure tries to build back in and low pressure passes by to the south. These conditions continue into the weekend with clouds and rain just to the west and sunshine to the east over Newfoundland. Will see what system becomes dominate over the next few days.

Precipitation… Chance of showers Wednesday evening into Thursday morning then again on Sunday.

Temperatures… At or above normal this period.

Wind… Very light winds during the day and calm conditions at night continue through the week. Brisk SE winds develop on Saturday,
