Mix of sun and cloud expected across PEI over the next few days.

Friday, May 17th 6:00am… The ridge of high pressure that was responsible for the sunny warm conditions over the past few days across PEI has shifted east. A NE flow has also developed across PEI in response to an area of low pressure that is stationary SE of Cape Cod. This feature will begin to move east over the weekend resulting in cloudy periods across PEI with a very slight chance of a shower on Sunday. Sunshine returns on Monday as high pressure ridges back in over the region. A bit more cloud on Tuesday with slightly increasing chances of showers associated with  a warm front to the west. Sunny warm humid conditions on Wednesday and Thursday inside the warm sector. The accompanying cold front then sweeps eastward across PEI Thursday night with clouds and showers. Sunshine returns on Friday.

Precipitation… Slight chance of a shower Saturday night in to Sunday. Then again on Tuesday and Thursday night.

Temperatures… Generally above normal. A couple very warm and humid days mid week.

Wind… Light NE winds today shifting and increasing to brisk E-SE winds tomorrow. Light SE winds Sunday and Monday increasing to brisk SW on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Hazards… Nil
