Sunday, May 26th 9:00am… A series of weak disturbances will cross the Maritimers today and tonight giving mostly cloudy conditions with a slight chance of a shower. Mostly sunny skies expected tomorrow under an area of high pressure. Clouds thicken up later tomorrow night ahead of a frontal system approaching from the west with a few showers developing by noon Tuesday along with a brisk-strong south wind. Showers should end by dawn Wednesday morning followed by mostly sunny conditions in the afternoon. Unsettled conditions then persist from later Thursday through the weekend associated with a slow moving low pressure system passing by just south of the Maritimes. The weekend is also shaping up to be fairly cool as a northerly winds gets established.
Precipitation… Slight chance of showers today into this evening. Showers begin near noon Tuesday ending by dawn Wednesday morning. Chance of showers later Thursday through the weekend.
Temperatures… Slightly below normal today and tomorrow. At or above normal Tuesday-Thursday. Cooler conditions begin again on Friday.
Wind… Light east winds today veering to SE tomorrow then increasing to brisk-strong southerly Tuesday afternoon. Light-brisk SW winds on Wednesday.
Hazards… Could be patchy frost in frost prone areas tonight (inland low lying areas). Wet driving conditions in any rain today then again on Tuesday. Watch for strong south winds developing on Tuesday afternoon especially for those on the water.
