Monday, April 22nd 7:30am… A cold front is currently located across Prince county accompanied by clouds and a few showers. This front is moving east and will spread showers across the remainder of the island over the next couple hours. Skies clear later this afternoon as this front shifts east and high pressure builds in from the west leading to a sunny Tuesday. Clouds will increase Tuesday night ahead of a low pressure system approaching from the SW with a slight chance of a shower across Kings county Wednesday afternoon. A second disturbance approaching from the west is expected to push some rain across the island Wednesday evening which should change over to light snow near dawn Thursday morning then ending near noon as this system moves off to the NE. Skies clear Thursday evening leading to a sunny Friday and Saturday with high pressure overhead. Clouds return Saturday night ahead of an area of low pressure approaching from the west with some rain by Sunday evening.
Precipitation… Chance of showers over the next few hours. Chance of showers across Kings county Wednesday morning. Better chance of showers for all of PEI Wednesday evening which changes to snow by dawn Thursday morning then ending near noon. Showers Sunday night into Monday morning.

Wind… Light SW winds now will increase to brisk westerlies later this morning then diminish back to light tonight. Brisk southerlies tomorrow diminishing to light and variable on Wednesday. Another round of brisk westerlies on Thursday. A period of very light to calm winds on Friday and Saturday under a dome of high pressure.
Hazards… Wet driving condition in any rain today then again on Wednesday. Watch for a period of snow Thursday morning which may give 1-2 cms.
